Mehran on Day 10 (Tuesday, June 16th)
In the morning, we visited the Nature Conservancy's HQ in Lijiang. There we learned about what the Nature Conservancy does in China in order to benefit the environment. In the afternoon, we visited a lake in Lijiang, which turned out to be an experience. Daniel and Ms. Tregar decided to ride horses while a few of us decided to take on a boat. Prior to this, Ian fell into a 3-ft deep stream, which made for a comical start. Griffin and I then proceeded to play some soccer with the vendors at the lake. We then got on the boat while a storm was approaching. While on the lake, the Himalayan rain came down like cold bullets and by the time we ran back to the bus, we were as wet as Ian was.

Hello Everyone, In spite of all the set back in the weather I see you guys are still have lots and lots of fun while learning so many different things. I can just feel the stinging effect of the cold raindrops after working up that sweat from playing soccer, at the same time I know it must have been refreshing. Continue enjoying and I'm sure we will get agreat exchange of pictures and videos when you return.

You see....Ian is a born leader....it doesn't surprise me that after he got drenched everyone felt the need to follow suit!!!!!! :-) Thank you Mehran for painting in words a beautiful picture of your day in Lijiang.

Hi Mehran, I can tell from your account of this day's events that it was a fun filled day. . .I am happy to know that you and the rest of the group are enjoying yourselves, despite the rigorous itinerary.
