Sam's first entry
Shy yet open
everyone lingers
people talk yet,
souls are still timid
two groups unite as one
one rhythm beats
our heart is the bass drum
the one continuous beat,
that never stops
people aren't so shy
not now, not now
that we have been
broken in, like an
old pair of smelly sneakers.
We dance and frolic
fearful and happy
We dance, as ONE

Great poem Sam- I am so grateful to have had time to get to know you and the other students better during pre-travel orientation at Cross Roads.. please know my thoughts (and heart) are with you (and the whole India group and Morocco too.) always... looking forward to seeing some pictures of you all in country soon!
