Greetings from Lin Fu

Dear Masters China Trip Participants,

Hi! My name is Lin Fu and I will the Global LAB program director for your trip. I hope to meet all of you soon during a pre-travel orientation, but I will still take a moment now to introduce myself to you.

I graduated from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in May 2006 with a degree in International Economics, concentrating on economic growth, transition, and development. After graduation, I spent about six months in East Asia, traveling around China and then studying cross-strait relations and Taiwanese political economy in Taiwan on a Georgetown-National Chengchi University China Studies Fellowship. I am currently working at a financial firm in New York.

Growing up, I spent most of my summers in China. I'm of Chinese descent and have many relatives there. As a rapidly developing country, China offers a fascinating juxtaposition of the traditional and the modern, which you will be able to see first-hand during our three-week program. Our itinerary, with its focus on sustainable development, promises to be intellectually stimulating as well as just plain fun.

I look forward to meeting everyone!

Lin
