Hi, this is Michael Copening. I am a student in the C.E.S.A.R. program. I'm 12, I'm smart, and I like to play football for fun. I like the C.E.S.A.R. program because it's fun and we learn about different cultures. This is important to me because I might go to another country in a couple years. When I am in high school I want to study abroad in France, in order to learn French.

The best part of my time in Mexico was climbing the mountain, because I never did it before. When I made it to the top first out of the group (after Hugo) I felt really accomplished. It was fun when we got down to the bottom. Also, it was funny when a dog was hiking up the mountain and was panting really hard.

I've been excited every day in Mexico because we keep doing new things. Every day is something else. I can't sleep because I'm so excited about everything.

The biggest difference between Mexico and America is that in Mexico people are friendlier, and in the US people are not so friendly. Mexican people are always saying hi and being really friendly. The Mexican people are always staring at us; I think that's because they probably have never seen many American people before. But you just say hi to them, and it's fine.

Before I arrived in Mexico, I expected to have a lot of fun and learn about cultural education. That expectation is being met, and I am looking forward to everything.

The Mexico program is going to change my life when I'm back in Milwaukee because I'll be able to say I went to another country and had fun. I got to ride a plane, got to pick up my bags, got to go swimming, get to go on trips, got to to go to cities in Mexico, and that I climbed a mountain in Tepoztlan, Mexico.

I want to tell everyone back home that this is a great trip. I am having fun, and I am not feeling very homesick at all. My friends are Myzel and Shacquan, and the group is aight. If you ever go on a trip, make sure you go to CCIDD. Bye,
Michael
